Lunar Ensemble in Concert at Dixon Hall
Last night, the Lunar Ensemble performed frigia, Michael Weinstein-Reiman’s Triptych and Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire at Dixon Hall, Tulane University. This marks the first of two concerts that Lunar will present at Tulane, as part of the ensemble’s Pierrot Centenary Project residency.
The Lunar Ensemble premiered frigia exactly one year ago on March 13 2012 at Baltimore’s An Die Musik Hall. frigia has been performed by Chamber Sounds, Israel Contemporary Players, Acoustic Uproar and New Music Brandeis since. Listen to frigia below:
