Program Information: \tele\port, is dedicated to Vex Duo, and all consortium partners who made the creation of this work possible. The word ‘teleport’, means to move or be transported across space and distance instantaneously.
The work embodies the frenzy-calm of my day-to-day life, where the new normal is being forced to live like it was 2019, when the reality is that it is 2021. Timbral shifts and minute flexes in inflections obscure the clarity of musical structures, all while the larger sections and temporal markings shift from one to another suddenly or with little anticipation.
